One afternoon recently, the phone rang in the kitchen. I grabbed it and dashed into the hallway to get away from the noise of the exhaust fans that run constantly when the ovens and stove are on. A writer at J. , Northern California’s Jewish news weekly, told me that 12 Tribes would be receiving its Readers’ Choice Award for Best Kosher Caterer in San Francisco. Could she interview me for the special issue in which the winners of the 8th annual competition would be announced? Well, sure.

In addition to sharing the good news, I want to sincerely thank everyone who voted for 12 Tribes and all of our customers, partners and friends for helping us to make fresh, seasonally delicious kosher food the standard for the San Francisco Bay Area and beyond.
